The Barnabas Team has been a CCE approved provider for the 30 hour Coaching from a Christian Perspective (hybrid) training since 2018. Barnabas Institute has been a CCE approved training provider since 2023 and certified as a training school (Identification Number: DHE 78323-00) approved by the State of Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education, through the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development:​

    The 30, 60 and 120 hour professional coach certification training programs require successful completion of the applicable courses for each program:

     

    • Coaching from a Christian Perspective (CPC) 30 Hour Training Program: Includes one, thirty-hour course to be completed - Christian Perspective Coaching 401

    • Coaching from a Christian Perspective (CPC) 60 Hour Training Program: Includes two, thirty-hour courses to be completed - Christian Perspective Coaching 301 and Christian Perspective Coaching 401

    • Coaching from a Christian Perspective (CPC) 120 Hour Training Program: Includes four, thirty-hour courses to be completed - Christian Perspective Coaching 101, Christian Perspective Coaching 201; Christian Perspective Coaching 301 and Christian Perspective Coaching 401

     

    The 30, 60 and 120 hour coach certification programs are designed for applicants who hold a qualifying degrees or diplomas and are seeking to fulfill requirements for the Board Certified Coach (BCC) coach certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) (see requirements at http://www.cce-global.org/Credentialing/BCC/Requirements).

    The Coaching from a Christian Perspective course series achieves the BCC core competencies for coaches by focusing on the knowledge and required for a professional coaching practice: Ethics and Regulatory Guidelines; Coaching Knowledge and Applications; Assessment and Practice Management.  

     

    Course learning is achieved through weekly assigned reading, course assignments, experiential and observational learning, peer discussion, and coaching role play or practice sessions. The average total estimated time commitment per course is 30 hours. 

     

    Students pursuing this path to BCC credentialing must complete the appropriate coach certification program based on the CCE educational requirements.  

     

    • CCE Required Endorsements: Upon successful completion of the course, we will be happy to assist BCC Applicants with CCE required professional endorsements upon successful completion of the training program.

    • CCE Required Verification of Experience: For BCC Applicants needing verification of professional coaching experience, a coaching verification package including three verification sessions is available for applicants who have completed our approved training programs.     • CCE Required 30 Hours of Coaching Experience:  For BCC Applicants interested in exchanging coaching services with one or more peer coaches while completing the required 30 hours of coaching experience within three months, a Coaching Experience Exchange and Verification Package is offered, subject to enrollment of peer or volunteer clients.     The 30, 60 and 120 hour Coaching from a Christian Perspective certified coach training programs achieve the BCC core competencies for coaches by focusing on the requirements of a professional coaching practice:

    The training program is divided into four, thirty-hour courses and designed for applicants who hold a qualifying educational degrees and are seeking to fulfill requirements for the Board Certified Coach (BCC) coach certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) (see requirements at http://www.cce-global.org/Credentialing/BCC/Requirements). For easy identification purposes, the four courses are referred to as CCP 101, CCP 201, CCP 301 and CCP 401.

    The training courses are designed to be completed 100% online through a virtual, on-demand format and structured to build the candidate's coaching skills, knowledge and competencies beginning with course 101 and continuing through courses 201, 301 and ending with course 401. In accordance with the CCE eligibility requirements, candidates should take the following course(s):

    Coaching from a Christian Perspective Coaching Certification

    Program Description​ 

    ​

    The Coaching from a Christian Perspective 30, 60 and 120 hour coach certification programs have been approved by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) and achieve the BCC core competencies for professional coach training by emphasizing (1) coaching knowledge and applications, (2) ethics and regulatory guidelines, (3) practice management, and (4) potential assessments needed for professional coaches working from a Goal-Focused perspective with individuals, businesses and organizations. Students will have the opportunity to explore an area of personal interest for more in-depth focus for one assignment from a specific coaching area in which they have interest.

    ​

    Learning is developed through assigned readings, video assignments, online discussion forums, learning activities, practice coaching sessions and personal reflection reports. There will be an exam over the assigned reading, video training, online discussions, learning activities and practice coaching interactions at the end of each course. The exams may include multiple choice, short answer, and true/false questions. Students must score a 70 or above on the exams in order to successfully complete each course. Grades are calculated on a “points possible” basis.  The number of points earned is divided by the number possible.

    Students must have regular internet access to complete this course.

    Successful completion of each applicable course is required to fulfill the CCE requirements for professional coach certification training for qualified individuals who plan to pursue Board Certified Coach certification (BCC).​

    Additional reading materials, video assignments, practice coaching exercises, reflection posts and discussion boards are provided through the online course materials.

The total estimated time commitment per course is 30 hours. Students must score 70% or better on a written exam in order to successfully pass this course.

    How to Succeed in the 30, 60 and 120 Hour Programs
    ​

    The courses are designed to prepare you to become a certified coach as a BCC.  Read assignments and all course announcements carefully. All assignments, reflections and discussion topics are important learning activities and required for successful completion of the course. 

     

    Attendance Policy - Engaged participation is required to complete the training program and meet CCE training requirements.  Attendance is established by submission of all assignments, reflection posts and discussion topics in the online platform.​
